Thai Consulate opened in Baku

Thailand's Foreign Minister Kantathi Suphamongkhon opened an honorary consulate general in Azerbaijan on Tuesday.

He was joined by the honorary consul, Suad Fataliyev, who on Monday arranged a meeting between Mr Kantathi and Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.

"President Aliyev is interested in Thailand and is considering opening an embassy in Bangkok. Thailand could be a gateway for this promising country with over 30% GDP growth," Mr Kantathi said.
