Elmar Mammadyarov: "Replacement of American co-chair won't have negative impact on negotiations"

"Replacement of Steven Mann, American co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group will not have any negative impact on the negotiating process for the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists.

The Minister said that as American diplomats're professionals, the new co-chair will need only one or two months to familiarize with the settlement process. He said the main thing is US participation in this process.

Mammadyarov said Steven Mann will leave the post of Minsk Group co-chair for his appointment as deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asia, APA reports.
