Pakistan's Premier and Foreign Minister to visit Azerbaijan

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will arrive in Baku to attend the 9th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) on 5-6 May.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan told APA that Pakistani Foreign Minister Kurshid Mahmoud Kasuri will also arrive in Baku to attend the meeting of ECO Board of Foreign Ministers before the summit.

Turkish and Kazakh Prime Ministers Rajap Tayyib Erdoghan and Danial Akhmetov are due to participate in ECO summit too.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan told APA that Kazakh deputy minister Kayrat Abdurrakhmanov will attend the meeting of the Foreign Ministers.

ECO was established by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey in 1977. Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan joined it in 1992. The 8th summit of ECO took place in Dushanbe on September 14, 2004.
