EU commissioner of External Relations and the European Neighbourhood Policy arrives in Azerbaijan

Under the visit program, the guest will be received by President Ilham Aliyev, Milli Mejlis chairman Oktay Asadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. Discussions of issues of cooperation development between the European Union and Azerbaijan first, in the political field are scheduled, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry press center told Trend.

Benita Ferrero-Waldner will visit Baku within her South Caucasus tour. The main subjects of negotiations will be the Action Plan in the framework of the "European Neighbourhood Policy" initiative, settlement of the "frozen" conflicts and the issues of energy security.
