Firdovsi Afandiyev joins brother, ex-chief of Ganja police in prison

Brother of ex-chief of Ganja Police Office Natig Afandiyev, Firdovsi Afandiyev was detained yesterday.

Relatives of Natig Afandiyev stated that Firdovsi Afandiyev was arrested in a one of restaurants of Ganja along with friends that were with him. The law enforcement bodies did not make any statement about the causes of Firdovsi Afandiyev’s arrest.

The court of Nizami district decided to imprison Firdovsi Afandiyev for 3 days allegedly for showing resistance to law enforcement officers. Thus Firdovsi joined his brother Natig who was arrested in Ganja on 16 October.
