04 June 2005 [09:32] - TODAY.AZ
“Withdrawal of Russian military bases from Georgia sounds good. Armenia is a sovereign state and it should define the future fate of the Russian military bases independently. This problem should be solved together with Russia” - told by American senator Charles Heigl in his briefing for the journalists in Yerevan.
He stated that he discussed the problems expected to appear on the account of dislocating Russian military bases withdrawn from Georgia in Armenia with President Robert Kocharyan.

”The USA considers that, Dislocation of additional military equipment in the conflict zone makes the problem tenser. Our state as the co-chairman of OSCE Minsk Group will make efforts for the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict by peaceful way and fair principles”.
