Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the city of Mingachevir for a visit on September 21, Azertac reported.
The head of state first laid flowers at a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the city.
Head of Mingachevir Executive Authority Niyazi Bayramov informed the President about the recent work carried out in the city.
The Heydar Aliyev Park occupies a total area of 3 hectares. The park has a waterfall, and a “Mother and child” cafe. Green areas were laid out here.
President Aliyev also attended the opening of Mingachevir City Museum of History.
The head of state was informed that the museum occupies an area of 810 square metres.
The museum features a photo section reflecting life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, and their role in the country`s development.
There are a 50-seat conference and two exhibition halls in the museum, whose collection includes 16,000 exhibits, of them 400 on display.
The head of state viewed the museum.
President Aliyev later attended a ground breaking ceremony of Mingachevir Industrial Park. President Aliyev laid a foundation stone of the park.
The head of state then had a meeting with members of Mingachevir city public.
President Aliyev made a speech at the meeting.
Project manager Mehriban Akhundova and member of the general public Arif Mahmudov thanked the head of state for attention and care.
President Aliyev further viewed landscaping and construction work in the city of Mingachevir.

Head of Mingachevir City Executive Authority Niyazi Bayramov informed President Ilham Aliyev of the work carried out in Sahil and Fuzuli parks, as well as other projects, including a mooring for small ships and boats on the left bank of the Kur River.
