Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) gives start to activities in Russia in support of the referendum on amendments to Constitution of Azerbaijan.
Round tables on "Constitutional Reforms in Azerbaijan" theme will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg in support of the referendum.
Experts, diplomats, public figures, and representatives of the diaspora and youth organizations plan to give a speech as part of the events.
Students of colleges of law, political scientists and economists are invited to the discussion of the "Act on the referendum on amendments to Azerbaijani Constitution".
Events will be held in the first half of September.
President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on holding a referendum on amendments to the country’s constitution on September 26, 2016, which propose 29 articles of the Constitution.
AMOR was established on April 18, 2009. Since its inception, the organization chaired by Leyla Aliyeva has aimed to bring together the most active part of the Azerbaijani community in Russia into one large family to inculcate in young people the spirit of patriotism and encourage the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.
The organization's scope of activity covers culture, education, science and history of Azerbaijan; its realities and perspectives; outreach activities, sporting programs; and nurturing in young people a sense of responsibility for their future and the future of the whole world.
