Colombia voices solidarity with Azerbaijan related to Black January events

Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico has received a note of Colombian Foreign Ministry, expressing solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan in connection with the anniversary of January 20 tragedy, the Embassy told Trend on Friday.

Referring to the events of "Black January" that took place on January 20, 1990, the Foreign Ministry note stated that Colombia respects the efforts of the Azerbaijani people, which led to proclamation of the country's sovereignty and independence in 1991.
