
Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakayin has visited Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. During the visit, he met with chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov, the official website of the Iranian embassy said on Monday.
At the meeting, Vasif Talibov has appreciated the Iranian-Azerbaijai cooperation. He said that Azerbaijan is Iran's strategic partner and its reliable neighbor.
"One can not forget Iran's warm attitude in the difficult moments, that our country has faced," Talibov said.
Pakayin has conveyed the greetings of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani. He added that Iran's state officials are interested in expanding bilateral ties.
Both countries have a high potential in the political, economic, social and cultural fields, he said.
Pakayin has also laid flowers at the bust of the Azerbaijani national leader and visited the Heydar Aliyev museum.
