'EU-Azerbaijan cooperation would develop in all fields'

Head of the EU Representation in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Cobia has visited the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism where he met Minister Abulfaz Garayev.

According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), the meeting featured discussions on the cooperation programs in culture field, projects implemented in EU member states and the prospects of this sphere.

Minister Abulfaz Garayev stressed that the MCT took an active part in the EU projects; especially the Twining project in tourism field would strengthen the administrative mechanisms in Azerbaijan.

The Head of EU Representation praised the efforts of the MCT. He noted that the EU is interested in deepening of cooperation with Azerbaijan in tourism sphere. He called the MCT to support the European Film Festival to be held in autumn, 2013.

The Azerbaijani minister stressed the importance of EU`s participation in the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue from May 29 to June 1 in Baku.

Cobia said that he would inform the EU secretary on this issue and relevant suggestions would be presented to the MCT soon. Roland Cobia expressed his confidence that the EU-Azerbaijan cooperation would develop in all fields, especially in tourism.
