Baku Declaration adopted at PABSEC NGO Forum

Participants of the 40th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) adopted a declaration in connection with the twentieth anniversary of the organization.

The Declaration confirms the determination to promote the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and dialogue in the BSEC region in order to ensure the coordination of national parliaments in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural or humanitarian character, and to achieve a more peaceful, prosperous and just world. "... We note with concern that unresolved conflicts and the associated negative effects threaten sustainable development and impede the process of regional integration.

In this regard, we call on the leaders of the BSEC Member States to cooperate more closely, provide real positive results for the economic development of our country through the creation of new and existing implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation in the Black Sea region", the Declaration says.
