Azerbaijan, Serbia ink energy agreement

Azerbaijan and Serbia will sign an intergovernmental agreement on strategic cooperation in the energy sector, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of internal and external trade and telecommunications of Serbia Rasim Lyaich told reporters.

"We are very interested in this area. There is a great potential in this area," Lyaich said. "Serbia is in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula, and is an important energy hub."

He added that there are great opportunities for Azerbaijani companies in the energy market of Serbia.
