Event on Azerbaijan`s gaining full membership to UN held at ADA - PHOTOS

 An event entitled “Azerbaijan and UN: 20 years of partnership and future prospects” has today been held at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA).  Rector of the Academy, Academician Hafiz Pashayev said that the UN was the important organization for Azerbaijan.

He touched upon the UN and Azerbaijani relations and briefed the participants on Azerbaijan`s successes gaining over the last 20 years adding the country`s electing as the member of the UN Security Council was one of the notable successes of Azerbaijan`s diplomacy.

UN Resident Coordinator Antonius Bernardus Broek emphasized that Azerbaijan faced several difficulties while gaining state independence. He also added that Azerbaijan was steadily developing country over the 20 years. Antonius Bernardus Broek highlighted Azerbaijan`s electing as the member of the UN Security Council. He also said that the UN would further support Azerbaijan.

Chief of the Azerbaijan Parliament's commission on social policy Hadi Rajabli praised celebration of the 20th anniversary of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN.
The event also featured the photo-exhibition on 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s gaining as a full membership at the UN.
