Richard Morningstar appraises democratic development in Nakhchivan

Ambassador of US to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar hailed the development of democracy in Nakhchivan as part of his visit to the Autonomous Republic.

During the trip, the diplomat was informed about the history of Nakhchivan. “This is my first visit to Nakhchivan. I must stress that the visit impressed me and my spouse very much. We want to strengthen and expand cooperation between Nakhchivan and the U.S. embassy, particularly in the fields of education and healthcare. We also visited the Nakhchivan State University to discuss education cooperation.

I also familiarized myself with the Ernest Hemingway`s Scientific Research Center, which operates from 2003,” Morningstar said.

Richard Morningstar and his spouse also visited historical and must-see-places of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The visitors updated on the Museum under Open Air, Momina Khatun mausoleum, prophet Noah`s sepulcher and ancient history of Nakhchivan.
