
An Azerbaijani delegation led by chairman of the Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov will pay visits to Malaysia and Indonesia, according to Milli Majlis Press Secretary Akif Tavakkuloglu.
The delegation includes chairman of the Committee on Human Rights of the parliament Rabiyyat Aslanova, MPs Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Chingiz Asadullayev, Mirkazim Kazimov, chief of Staff of the Milli Majlis Safa Mirzayev and other officials.
During the visit to Malaysia, the deputies will visit parliament of the country to familiarize themselves with the activity of the legislative body and observe plenary session.
Ogtay Asadov is expected to meet with chairs of parliament’s both chambers to discuss current state of and prospects for inter-parliamentary ties.
During the visit to Indonesia, Ogtay Asadov and his accompanying delegation will familiarize themselves with the activities of the country`s parliament. They also will hold meetings with chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia and the leadership of the Regional Representative Council to discuss development directions of legislative bodies` relations.
Chairman of the Milli Majlis is expected to meet with Indonesian President and Foreign Minister to discuss expansion of cooperation in economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
