Kiev offers Baku to join helicopter manufacturing programs

Ukraine has invited Azerbaijan to participate in the programs on helicopter manufacturing.

APA reports quoting its military sources that the first is the project on manufacturing of new Mi-24PU1 attack helicopters on the basis of Mi-24, the second is the project on manufacturing of Mi-8MSB multipurpose helicopter.

The relevant agencies of Ukraine made presentations on both programs for the Azerbaijani side, initial talks were held. Ukraine is awaiting the reply of the Azerbaijani side.

The tests of Mi-24PU1 attack helicopter were completed in summer.

Mi-24PU1, the completely modernized version of Mi-24, is likely designed for battles in the mountainous areas.

The tests of Mi-8MSB have been completely recently. They are mainly designed to carry military personnel, to evacuate injured persons.
