Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan eye political coop

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, who is in Mecca for participation in the IV Extraordinary Session of the Islamic Summit, has met with Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

The sides discussed relations between the two countries and ways to promote further development.

Mammadyarov informed his counterpart about Azerbaijan's activities in the UNSC, as well as cooperation and activities in Non-Aligned Movement.

Kazykhanov congratulated Mammadyarov on successful activities in the UNSC.

The ministers exchanged views on issues on the OIC summit's agenda in Mecca.
