New opposition structure may appear in Azerbaijan

Last year, the opposition recorded a cumulation a small groups. There are already several organizations in the Azerbaijani opposition camp, with which you can negotiate, Citizen and Development Party (CDP) Chairman Ali Aliyev said.

He said the last joint statement was made in the face of the Resistance Movement, which later was transformed into the Movement for Democracy Organization. It includes the classic Popular Front Party, Open Society Party and several other structures.

"Prior to this, the main opposition parties gathered in the political bloc Karabakh. Moreover, the Public Chamber was created in late 2010,” Aliyev said. “Only we and Liberal Party left aside. But we do not hurry to join any structure. At present we are negotiating with our allies. Depending on the negotiations with other parties, maybe we also will announce the creation of a new party. "
 
Aliyev refused to name the parties, with which they are in talks. He believes the originations created in the opposition camp will be consolidated in 2012. “Because no matter how different tasks they have set before themselves, there are common elements that relate to everyone,” he noted.
