Mr. Ogan also said Azerbaijan supports Turkey regarding the bill criminalizing the denial of the so-called Armenian genocide passed by the French National Assembly and the Senate. He underlined the officials of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration had said this decision was wrong and may damage relations with Azerbaijan. Milli Majlis`s 125 deputies sent a letter of protest to the French parliament, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry made a statement as well. The Azerbaijani embassy to Paris, Azeri MPs to PACE, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade and other officials voiced their protest too.
