Armenia failed to exhibit Nagorno Karabakh stand

18 January 2012 [18:14] - TODAY.AZ
The International Tourism Exhibition took place in Utrecht (the Netherlands) on January 11-15, press service of the Amsterdam-based Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress (BAC) told AzerTAc.

As usual, the Armenian participants tried to promote the tourism potential of Nagorno Karabakh, occupied territory of Azerbaijan, which is not recognized by any state. However this initiative has been prevented by BAC’s efforts.

The appropriate department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands just a few days prior to the opening of the exhibition notified the Armenian tourism companies that promotion of the so-called “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” at the exhibition is absolutely unacceptable.

However regardless of the warning, Armenians tried to carry out their intentions. Members of the Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress immediately informed the organizers on the fact of illegal display and the stand of the separatist Nagorno Karabakh has been removed from the exhibition hall.
