The Civil Movement Forum conducted analyses and found out that unity of the Azerbaijani opposition is impossible in the existing format, Civil Movement Forum representative Gurban Mammadov said. Given the fact that some members of the opposition camp are not independent, and many party leaders are controlled by others, then plans on unification plans will not be realized, he added.
Chairman of the Azerbaijani opposition Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloglu said the obstacle in the way of opposition camp union is the lack of the necessary conditions for this.
Liberal Party Chairman Avaz Temirkhan said in reality opposition parties do not wish to join. "But the Liberal Party did not avoid the unification, just our party pursues own vision of unification.”
