Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis marked abroad

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Riga has organized an event to mark December 31, the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year. The event brought together employees of the embassy, members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora, officials and others.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Elman Zeynalov briefed the participants on the accomplishments made in Azerbaijan in 2011. President Ilham Aliyev`s message to the world Azerbaijanis was read out at the event.

Another event to celebrate the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis was organized in Azerbaijani Embassy in Saudi Arabia. Opening the event, Ambassador Tofig Abdullayev briefed participants on the history of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis. President Ilham Aliyev`s message to the world Azerbaijanis was read out at the event.

Events to mark the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis were also held in Kazakhstan, the Consulates General of Azerbaijan in Kars and Istanbul.

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Malaysia has organized an event to mark December 31, the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year.The event brought together Azerbaijanis living in Malaysia.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Tahir Karimov spoke of history of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis. He also stressed the importance of this day. President Ilham Aliyev`s message to the world Azerbaijanis was read out at the event.
