'Azerbaijan secured seat on UNSC, as this democratic and secular state is developing rapidly'

Azerbaijan`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council is a very important event of the hisotiry of its independence, Chief of the Presidential Administration`s Social and Political Department, Ali Hasanov said.

According to Hasanov, so far Ukraine was only former Soviet state to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2000-2001. Azerbaijan secured a seat on the Council, as this democratic and secular state is developing rapidly and has increasing international image.
