‘Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved peacefully’

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved peacefully, ex-president of Latvia Valdis Zatlers told journalists at the Politics of Modernisation: new economic and social challenges conference, organised by the ruling party Yeni Azerbaijan in Baku.

Mr Zatlers stressed that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved on the basis of the Madrid principles proposed by the OSCE Minsk Group. "Latvia's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unchanged. I hope this problem will be solved in the near future" he said.
