'There is unanimity between government and people of Azerbaijan '

21 December 2011 [14:45] - TODAY.AZ
Some opposition parties in Azerbaijan act under the influence of the world developments rather than relying on the people's will, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Chief Ali Hasanov told journalists on Wednesday.

"We see it in Azerbaijani opposition's actions after the processes that have occurred in Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and other countries over the past three years," Hasanov noted. He said it is necessary to rely on the people's will to achieve any success in Azerbaijan.

"Their desires and plans are doomed to fail unless they meet the people's demands," Hasanov said. "Therefore, we have never equated the processes outside Azerbaijan to the processes inside the country. We are not looking for connections between them. For example, what does Azerbaijan have to do with a small conflict in Kazakhstan, or any other case in the internal social and political processes in Russia?"

He said every country has its own mechanism of internal regulation, and it manifests as "power - people" relationship.

"The state power is strong and stable if it relies on the people's will and reflects its social and economic needs and expectations. In such a society, someone's provocative attempts are doomed to fail. There is unanimity between the government and the people of Azerbaijan today. The power relies on the Azerbaijani people's will," Hasanov underscored.
