Serbian man becomes 'human magnet' after doctors zap his heart

28 July 2011 [13:40] - TODAY.AZ
Sibin Ivanovic has become a magnet for all things metal after doctors zapped him with a high-voltage shock to restart his heart.

The 66-year-old said he noticed the weird attraction ability when he left his mobile phone on his chest after making a phone call and then when he stood up from his bed found it had stuck to his chest.

Ivanovic found he had the same effect with cutlery and metal plates.

Doctors who carried out tests confirmed the strange tendency for metal objects to stick to him and say he seems to have developed a 'mild attraction ability'.

The Serb's heart had stopped after complications during an operation for a stomach ulcer - but doctors say he is now recovering well along with his new and unexplained magnetic ability.

Of his new super power, Sibin, from the northern town of Jagodina, Serbia, said: 'The doctors are at a loss to explain it - but I act like a magnet ever since I was given the electric shock.

‘I’m hoping to have the same attractive effect on women but probably only if they wear lots of jewellery,’ he added.
