A presentation ceremony of the film “Occupation” made by order of Georgian Parliament was held in Tbilisi State University (TSU) named after Ivane Javakhishvili on Friday. The film narrates on struggle for independence of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Opening the event, rector of TSU Alexander Kvitashvili appreciated the initiative of new ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Azer Huseyn. He also expressed assurance on future expansion of the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Georgia, especially in the educational sphere and wished him successes.
Azer Huseyn said Azerbaijani and Georgian nations will never forget the tragedies 20 January and 9 April stressing the same destinations of both nations. He also underlined the special services of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Georgia Ilham Aliyev and Mikheil Saakashvili in development of relations, the role of giant projects established by national leader Heydar Aliyev in improving of the well-being of both nations.
