Eleven performers from seven countries have been whittled down to seven for the final of the 2nd international Gabala piano competition. Russian Andrei Yaroshnsky, Azerbaijani Nargiz Kangarli, Japanese Mizuho Nakada, Georgians Ketevan Jakaratashvili, Aleksandr Vashadze and Anna Kipiani and Ukrainian Aleksandr Samoilov will perform together with the Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra in a final show to be held on July 21-22.
The two-day second round saw each pianist perform 4 compositions to be selected by a jury panel headed by honored academician of the UN International Arts Academy, professor of the Juliana Music Academy of the United States Oksana Yablonskaya.
