Azerbaijani cartoons to be exhibited in Israel

The exhibition was scheduled to take place in early 2011 after talks with the Israeli foreign ministry and ministry of culture. The exhibition will feature 100 works from Azerbaijan.

The venue of the exhibition, theme and number of works and the list of invitees are being negotiated.

“Exhibition was initiated by the association and was approved by our Israeli counterparts. The fact is that in recent years I was often invited as an expert to the various events in Israel. As a result, I have built a good friendly relationship with counterparts in this country. Azerbaijan has a long history of cartoons which is a matter of great interest overseas,” Hajizade added.
