How Michael Douglas keeps up with Catherine Zeta-Jones in bed

22 January 2010 [20:35] - TODAY.AZ
The Romancing The Stone star reveals how he keeps the passion burning with a combination of Viagra and willpower.
Michael Douglas talks about how he keeps up with Catherine Zeta-Jones in the bedroom, how married life has changed his priorities, and how he is finding it easier to be a father the second time around.

In an upcoming interview with AARP – the US equivalent of SAGA – 65-year-old Douglas says that the combination of Viagra and willpower helps him to keep the 40-year-old Mrs Douglas happy in the bedroom.

"At least in your head, your fire burns as brightly. Let’s not kid ourselves. But God bless her that she likes older guys," the Hollywood veteran tells the magazine.

"And some wonderful enhancements have happened in the last few years – Viagra, Cialis – that can make us all feel younger."

On his new outlook on life, Douglas is equally frank.

"My career was the most important thing in my life, followed by marriage and children. And it’s completely reversed now," he says. "I never anticipated starting a family and the joy of raising kids at my age. I think it’s easier for me to be a good father."

This leads him to acknowledge that he hadn't always been there for his 31-year-old son Cameron, who is in jail for drugs offences.

"I’ll assume whatever responsibilities I have to," said Michael. "Would it have been better to have been around more? Absolutely. There were absences, and I was no angel."

He still believes that Cameron can bounce back and turn his life around once he leaves jail.

"He's in a federal prison, and you've got some big, bad boys down there. Cameron has a lot of life ahead. He now recognises his own demons and struggles."
