Togrul Huseynli successfully performs in the Netherlands

Azerbaijan’s world-famous pianist, winner of international contest Togrul Huseynli successfully performed in the Netherlands.

The young musician gave four solo concerts as part of the 27th the International Holland Music Sessions, which were held in different cities of the Netherlands from July 22 to August 28, Trend Life reported.

The International Holland Music Sessions organizes an international Summer Academy in Bergen, The Netherlands, with a focus on master classes and individual coaching. Internationally acclaimed musicians and music teachers from top institutions all over the world provide intensive training to a new generation of soloists.

During the concert in Bergen, the pianist received a standing ovation and  was called for an encore.

The other three concerts of the pianist were held in the most famous concert halls of the Netherlands – Schagen Castle, Den Hoorn and Hervormde churches.

The audience was amazed with the talent of the Azerbaijani musician. During his concerts, Huseynli performed one of the most complex music pieces by of V. A. Mozart, F. Schubert, R. Schumann and S. Prokofiev.

"The success that I have achieved in recent years in Germany and the victory at various international competitions has allowed me as a professional musician to take part in such kind of festival. I was proud when I saw my name - the name of the Azerbaijani musician on the billboards of the world famous festival,” said the pianist.

Togrul Huseynli earlier took the second place at 29th Concurso Internacional de Piano music  competition  in Spain.

In 2015, Huseynli became first degree laureate in the competition among the students of higher secondary schools in the German city of Aachen. His performance received worldwide press coverage.

In 2016, the pianist became the laureate in the competition among the students in the city of Cologne.

Following this, he received offers to give concerts in different cities of Germany. The victory in this contest gave him right to participate in an international competition, organized by the world famous company-piano manufacturer Steinway. Huseynli become the winner of the contest.

In June, the musician gave concerts at Klavier-Festival Ruhr 2016 international festival held in Germany.

The festival was attended by renowned pianists, including Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim.
