International Mugham Center to host jazz concert

The International Mugham Center in Baku will host a concert of the honored Azerbaijani artist, composer, pianist and jazz musician Salman Gambarov with his group on October 26 at 20.00.

The concert will take place within the Baku International Jazz Festival from October 25 to November 3. The festival is organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Azerbaijan Culture Fund.

Tickets are on sale in the centralized cash desks of the city.

Salman Gambarov is a creative person without any habitual frames. His music is interesting for many, but not understandable for everybody, because the musician does not play for applause. His aspiration for folk jazz is revealed in a soundtrack written for a silent film “Latif”, a film “East or West?”

By Gambarov’s own words, his music is born out of pure improvisation unconstrained by limits of time.

His multi-faceted creative laboratory permanently resonates to sessions with different musicians from a variety of musical genres.
