Azerbaijan Railways to launch additional route Baku-Ganja –Baku

JSC Azerbaijan Railways intends to launch an additional route Baku-Ganja –Baku from Dec 9, Company spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said today.  “The new structure will consist of locomotive and five passenger coaches which had previously been repaired in Slovakia,” he said.

The cars were sent to the Slovakia`s “Sazvrudki” plant and were brought to Baku by late October. The cars were accommodated for express routes, also equipped with modern ventilation and ecological systems. All conditions have been created for passengers` comfort.

“Four economy-class cars designed for 60 passengers and the business class car - up to 45 passengers. Each car is equipped with four televisions, a system providing passengers with drinking water, (one-piece) air-conditioning system and refrigerator. We created all favorable conditions for passengers,” he added.

Azmammadov said the existing structure will operate along with the new one. The trains from Baku and Ganja will leave on the same day. The company is introducing the relevant changes in the schedule for the commissioning of additional trains.
