Azerbaijan to open new oil& gas university

"Baku oil high school at the company SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) will open for students in September 2012," SOCAR announced on Monday. Education will be Azerbaijani and English languages. The Baku Oil University was established under the presidential decree, dated Nov. 29.

The key objective of creating a school was to meet a demand in highly qualified specialists up to modern requirements based on education to be held through curricula and educational technologies in line with international standards. The university will establish close ties with leading research and training centers of the world's developed countries.
