Unusual weather forecasted for December in Azerbaijan

Average monthly air temperature in Azerbaijan in December will be different from the norm, Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry's National Hydrometeorological Department official Umayra Tagiyeva told Trend. The air temperature is expected to fall in the third decade of December. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the norm, in some places above normal.

The average monthly temperature in Baku and Absheron peninsula will be 7- 9 C, which is close to the norm. The temperature will be 2- 6 C at nights and 0- 2 C. The temperature will sometimes fall to 3-7 C. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the norm ( 24-34 mm), in some places above normal.

The average monthly temperature in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is expected at 0-3 C, which is close to the norm.. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the norm (norm 14-35 mm).

In the Upper Karabakh: Khankendi, Khojavend, Zangilan, Gubadli, Shusha, Khojaly, Lachin, Kalbajar, Dashkesen-Gedebey the air temperature will be 0-3 C, this is close normal. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the normal (27-53 mm). The average monthly temperature in Gazakh-Ganja, Tartar, Aghdam-Fuzuli-Jabrail regions will be 4-6 C. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the norm (13-16 mm).

In Balakan-Shaki-Zagatala, Shamakhi-Ismailli, Khizi, Siyazan-Shabran, Guba-Gusar-Khachmaz regions the average monthly temperature will be 2- 4 C. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the norm ( 24-48 mm).

The average monthly temperature in Central Aran regions – Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Kurdamir, Imishli, Ali-Bayramli, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Salyan and Neftchala will be 5-8 C. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the norm  (16-32 mm), sometimes above normal.

The average monthly temperature in Masalli-Lankaran-Astara-Lerik regions will be 5- 8 C. The amount of monthly precipitation will be close to the norm (58-106 mm), sometimes above normal.
