Japanese companies hope to join new projects in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev has met visiting the Japanese delegation led by executive vice president of Itochu Corporation Yoichi Kobayashi.During the meeting, they discussed the current state of and prospects for bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan.

They also discussed expansion of cooperation in a variety of fields.Natig Aliyev stressed the importance of the activity of the Japanese companies in Azerbaijan`s energy sector. The Minister said the two countries enjoy ample opportunities for development of bilateral relations in the non-oil sector.

The Azeri Minister also briefed the delegation on the projects implemented in the country. Executive vice president of Itochu Corporation Yoichi Kobayashi said the Japanese companies hope to join new projects in Azerbaijan. They also discussed development of industry cooperation.
