Azerbaijan ups electricity generation

"Azerenergy" (generation and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) produced 16 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-October compared to about 15.2 billion kilowatt-hours in January-October last year, the company said on Monday.

More than 13.6 billion kilowatt-hours of the total generated electricity fell to thermal stations for 10 months. About 2.4 billion kilowatt-hours fell to hydroelectric power stations.

The power flows with neighboring countries - the Russian Federation, Georgia, Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran were made during this period.
