Final meeting on KOICA project for "Promoting Foreign Direct Investment in Azerbaijan’ held

Final meeting on KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Project for ‘Promoting Foreign Direct Investment in Azerbaijan’ was held on October 28, 2011 in the Ministry of Economic Development on October 28, 2011.
 
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Korea, KOICA is providing the project budget which is US $1,000,000 (one million US dollars) for the implementation of the project during 18 months during May, 2010 – November, 2011.
 
The objectives of the project are 1) to analyze current investment trend, business environment, policies and strategies on FDI policies and improve short-term and long-term FDI policy and promotion strategy of Azerbaijan, 2) to improve the legal and regulatory framework conducive and favorable to attract foreign investment and to ensure the successful performance of the FDI in Azerbaijan, 3) develop capacity building on formulating FDI policy and strategy as well as on administrative services and institutional support.

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a government agency of the Republic of Korea implementing the government's grant aid and technical cooperation programs. KOICA has 43 representative offices in partner countries.
