
The investment expenditures of Azerbaijan’s consolidated budget made AZN 3.985 bln in January-September, 2011, up AZN 1.116 bln or 38.9% from year earlier, said the Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov at the meeting on outcomes of socio-economic development during January-September, 2011.
According to Minister, AZN 3.281 bln or 54.2% of investment expenditures came from state budget, AZN 32.2 mln – from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic’s budget, AZN 335.6 mln – from State Oil Fund, AZN 336.2 mln – from external loans.
“AZN 394 mln of the same funds was spent to construction and reconstruction of health, educational, cultural, sport and other socio-cultural objects. AZN 37 mln went to construction of houses for families of disabled soldiers and martyrs, AZN 31 mln – to construction and reconstruction of sport complexes in the regions”, said Samir Sharifov.
He also noted that, AZN 761 mln went to construction and reconstruction of energy, water supply, gas community and melioration infrastructures, including AZN 119 mln – to construction of drinking water and irrigation-drainage infrastructure, AZN 102 mln – to reconstruction of electric distributor network in Baku and regions and AZN 150 mln – to gasifying.,
Sharifov added that, state budget directed AZN 20 mln for fulfillment of State Program on establishment and development of space industry in Azerbaijan.
“The roads in several regions, cities are reconstructed and some of them wqere completed. Totally AZN 1.176 bln was directed to transport sector, during the same period. AZN 768 mln of this went to financing of infrastructure projects belonging to motor transport and roads, AZN 136 mln – to development and extension o Baku Metro, AZN 216 mln – AZAL, AZN 46.6 mln – to Azerbaijan Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping, he noted.”
