Quake in Turkey not affects BTC’s operation

An earthquake occurred in Turkey did not affect the work and export operations carried out by the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline that transports bulk of the Azerbaijani oil, BP-Azerbaijan reported on Monday.

The company reported that the minimum distance from the earthquake epicenter to the BTC pipeline is 200 kilometers.

The pipeline is equipped with different instruments and detectors designed for such cases, which did not record the impact of earthquakes on its operation and status, the report reads.
