Baku’s General Plan to be developed by end of 2012

The works on Baku’s General Plan are underway, said the Jahangir Gojayev, Head of the Department on International Relations and Information of State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture.

According to him, the works on General Plan of the capital will be developed by the end of 2012.

Gojayev noted that, Papanin and Sovetski are planned to be well built by 2030: “The buildings which are unsuitable for living and have not historical value will be destroyed, and modern buildings will be constructed. Historical buildings will be technically strengthened”.

Speaking about documentation of squatter settlements in Baku Gojayev noted that, there were not any squatter settlements in Papanin and Sovetski. According to him, a great LLC or any establishment can be established for conduction of these works.
