Construction of multi-storied buildings to be prohibited in center of Azerbaijan’s capital

Only 5-7 storied buildings can be built in the center of Baku, Jahangir Gojayev, chief of department of Azerbaijan’s State Committee of Town Building and Architecture told journalists.

To him, the appropriate comprehensive plan has been prepared by the Committee. Opinions and proposals will be received from the government agencies by the year-end and then will be sent to Baku City Executive Power or the government for approval.

Gojayev noted that the construction of multi-storied buildings will be prohibited in any territory with an area of 1550 thousand hectares. This territory is located between AMAY trade center, Narimanov Avenue and Bakikhanov Street.
