Azerbaijan to increase budget expenses for housing and utilities infrastructure next year

Next year AZN 344.5 mln. will be allocated from Azerbaijan’s state budget for the housing and utilities infrastructure expenses, up AZN 27.2 mln., or 8.6% compared to 2011.

It is indicated in the presentation of “Draft state and consolidated budgets of Azerbaijan for 2012” published by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance.

The specific weight of the funds allocated for these expenses will reach 2% in the structure of the general budget expenses.

AZN 186.3 mln. will be allocated for the payment of damage on the housing and utilities infrastructure, overhaul of the housing stock in the centers of cities and regions, repair of roads and lighting.

At the same time AZN 106.1 mln. will be allocated for restoration and reconstruction of the utilities infrastructure belonging to the residential sections, use of new tariffs on community facilities and several events.

“AZN 31.6 mln. will be allocated for payment of damage on heating system in the country, as well as to exploitation and repair of heating system and water supply facilities” – the presentation says.

Moreover, AZN 20.5 mln. will be allocated for maintenance and improvement of Boulevard, National Flag Square, “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve, settlements built for refugees and IDPs, planting of greenery on highways, utilization of household wastes in Balakhani landfill.
