
Intelligent transport management system will be commissioned in Baku in December 2011, the Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov said. He also touched upon the issue related to shortage of funds demanded for the realization of the project and said that the problem had already been resolved.
Note that, today, the head of state has already got acquainted with the work done at the Center for Intelligent Transport Management in Baku.
The head of state was informed that the traffic in the city would be managed by a modern server, 18 networks, and monitor a total area of 120 sq.m located in a five-storey administrative building. President Ilham Aliyev viewed the hall of intellectual control.
It was noted that the biggest monitor reflecting 600 digital images and used in intelligent management of transport operations in the world was installed here. Through the monitor, you can track the status of traffic on 150 road crossings, as well as receive information on the management of 2 thousand buses.
President familiarized with the equipment used in the intelligent system management. It was noted that through the information terminal of Korean production it is possible to receive information about the schedule of buses.
The Head of State looked a presentation of the center. It was noted that near the center, it was considered to construct a new building for the Ministry of Transport. It was noted that 60 cameras were installed on the highways in order to monitor the situation in the movement of vehicles.
