No obstacles in Azerbaijani-Turkish talks on gas contract

No obstacles have been observed in the talks between Azerbaijan and Turkey to sign a gas contract, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic said on Monday.

"The documents on the gas contract were not ready by late September, so the contract will be signed after they are prepared," he added.

The gas contract package between Azerbaijan and Turkey indicates that a contract on gas purchase and a transit agreement between the two countries should be signed within the first and second phases of the Shah Deniz offshore gas condensate field's development in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
