Pension-insurance system to be fully automated in Azerbaijan in 2012

Activity of the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund will be fully automated in 2012, the Head of the State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslimov said at a presentation of a new electronic reporting system and obligatory social insurance payments on Friday.

"The use of electronic reporting systems and new electronic services will form electronic individual accounts for insured persons," Muslimov said.

At present, about 1.93 million insured persons have been insured in a personal accounting system within the fund.

"Proper information about paid state royalties in social insurance plays an important role in determining a future pension," Muslimov said.

The state program of the pension-insurance system's development provides the implementation of the automation system in 2013-2015.

The State Pension-Insurance System Development Program for 2009-2015 is aimed to further improve the pension system and achieve sustainable and dynamic development of the pension insurance system.

According to the program, the State Social Protection Fund must provide improvement of the regulation mechanism of insurance payments, full integration of the new labor pension system for retirees who retired before January 1, 2006, improve the system of compulsory social insurance, and improve development of voluntary pension insurance.
