
In August, the tariffs for cargo transportation by the Azerbaijani transport sector fell by 0.2 percent compared to July, the State Statistics Committee said. Tariffs for passenger traffic during this period increased by 3.2 percent.
In August, the average tariffs for transportation of 10 tons of cargo per kilometer by rail transport within the country and for cargo imported into the country, increased respectively by 6.4 and 1.6 percent.
Tariffs for cargo shipped from the country, declined by 9.6 percent, while tariffs for transit cargo rose by 0.1 percent. In total, a 0.1-percent increase was observed in tariffs for international transportation of passengers by railways in August.
At the same time in July, tariffs for transportation of one ton of cargo by air on CIS countries grew by 0.1 percent. Tariffs for passenger transportation by air to far abroad countries increased by 10.3 percent, to the CIS countries - 16.4 percent.
Tariffs for transportation of one ton of cargo by water transport to the CIS countries decreased by 0.1 percent, to far abroad countries - by 14.2 percent.
Tariffs for gas transportation via pipelines remained unchanged, while for pumping oil through pipelines - rose by 0.2 percent.
