President of Azerbaijani Association of Banks elected as Deputy Chairman for International Banking Council

The President of the Azerbaijani Association of Banks Eldar Ismayilov was elected as the deputy chairman of the International Banking Council, the association said.

Ismayilov was elected to the position during a meeting of the Banking Associations of the CIS countries International Coordinating Council, and the International Banking Council of Central and Eastern Europe. The meeting took place in Sochi on September 3.

The International Banking Council is a public organization. The participation in the council does not provide any binding material costs to its members. The council is open to the banking associations of all countries interested in cooperation.

The Azerbaijani Association of Banks joined the International Banking Council in September 2007.
