CBA's currency reserves up by 21 percent

Official currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan increased by $706.6million or 11 percent since early 2011. They hit $6.718.4 million, CBA said. During eight months, the CBA's currency reserves hit $7.114.2 million.

As of August 2011, the CBA's currency reserves increased by $40.4 million or 0.6 percent. Compared to August 2010 this figure increased by 20.6 percent ($1.214.5 million).

As of late 2010, the CBA's currency reserves hit $6.407.6 million, while as of late August they hit $5.899.7 million.

According to the CBA forecasts, as of late 2011 currency reserves will exceed $8 billion.
